Call for Expression of Interest to Turkish Conformity Assessment Bodies to Participate In an EU-Funded Equipment Support Scheme
Within the scope of an EU funded project, the Telecommunications Authority is launching a call for expression of interest for equipment support to the Turkish Conformity Assessment Bodies working in the fields of radio and telecommunications terminal equipment directive. Vetting national rules for trade compatibility
The EU 'notification' system enabling Member States and the Commission to check that draft national technical regulations (and rules on information society services) will not create barriers to trade is being extended to 10 accession countries before they formally join the EU. Vetting these draft rules for trade compatibility is vital to the smooth operation of the pan-European single market after 1 May 2004.

Technical assistance to near neighbours
Since 1989, the European Commission has financed technical assistance to help future EU members to set up the administrative machinery that ensures goods traded across the Union are up to standard. As with conformity assessment agreements, this can also be provided to ear neighbours who do not plan to join the EU.

Implementing the Construction Products Directive
The Construction Products Directive is part of the overall corpus of EU law that the new Member States must implement.
