WORK PROGRAMME
Technical Assistance
Short-Term Technical Assistance
Short-Term project actions are technical
trainings that are given especially on New Approach Directives
in order to remove technical trade barriers in Turkey and
to make Turkey become the part of Community Internal Market,
where the free movement of the goods is achieved.
It provides between 3 & 5-day technical advice and training
on a specific topic, anywhere in Turkey.
All public and private institutions and non-governmental organisations
could benefit from the project. In order to benefit these
trainings, the application should be made collectively. In
other words, the applicants should be collective institutions.
For instance:
• Ministries and governmental agencies,
• Quality infrastructure organisations,
• Industrial associations and/or federations,
• Professional associations and/or federations,
• Chambers of Commerce and Industry,
• Non-governmental organisations,
• Non-profit organisations,
Requests should be in a form of a standard application form.
The application guide is highly recommended to read.
The requested expertise does not collide with other similar
technical assistance (for example; Long-Term Technical Assistance
within the scope of the project or other EU projects).
Clearness, transparency and impartiality are taken into consideration
during the evaluation of the application form in addition
to the specific procedure of the Expertise Centre. After the
application forms have been received by the Expertise Centre,
it takes at least 4 months (in average between 6 and 8 weeks)
to assess and approve them. The applicants are informed in
line with their request.
Technical training, in a form of a workshop, consists of 2
parts:
• General presentation and philosophy of the subject (½ day)
• Case studies and practical work of the trainees (second
day and the following days)
Maximum 20 trainees per specific training and homogeneous
groups as to their equivalent skills and knowledge are recommended.
The organisation of the training is carried out by in co-operation
with the Expertise Centre and the institution that will benefit
from the training. The whole expenditures of the experts are
met by the project. According to the procedures, the experts
are selected by CEN (European Committee for Standardisation).
The training is generally delivered either in Turkish or in
one of the three European Union languages (English, German
or French) with simultaneous or consecutive translation into
Turkish.
